KingCast Says "Hats Off to Local Youths for Second Place in Junior Roller Derby Association Finals!"

Seattle Derby Brats Galaxy Girls defend their title and take 1st in the Female division Evergreen Junior Roller Derby

Mob City Misfits take second in the Open division Inland Northwest Roller Derby

Pixies place 3rd Female division.

Reservoir Dolls take 4th in the Female division!

Several Shoreline area youth are celebrating this week after an amazing run in Lincoln, Nebraska this week at the 2016 National Championships!

In fact, this is a Big Year for skaters as noted on the website:
The 2016 USARS National Championship represents a historic step for our sport, as it will be the first competition where five disciplines come together for the biggest roller sports event in the United States. Lincoln will be the host to more than 4,000 athletes, coaches and officials who will participate throughout almost a month of competition at the Speedway Sporting Village. All roller sports together as one!
Stay tuned for video interviews.... As someone who loves moving about on wheels (inline skate, skateboard) I'll be following these events and interviewing local participants in the next week.  Remember -- You didn't stop skating because you got old.  You got old because you stopped skating. Take a look.

Some folks seem to think all I do is bitch around here about Shoreline/Ridgecrest issues of sexism and lease renewal at Cafe Aroma/Nomad Northwest!
