On Shirley Sherrod KingCast says, "Let's see if Anderson Cooper 360 prints my NAACP comments vis a vis the show's negative commentary about bloggers."

Well here's a recent Anderson Cooper 360 post about the NAACP debacle, and in the comments appears my full response, which starts as follows :)

Dear Mr. Cooper and staff:

I am a former NAACP Legal Chair and have a few observations for you. I heard about your TV coverage (yes, from a reliable source, ahem) related to this case in which it was implied that bloggers never check sources, etc. etc. blah blah blah.

Hogwash....... (attended by a request to appear on the show, as there are not too too many bloggers covering police murder trials on video and such.....take a look around).

I am a card-carrying member of the press (NENPA)
I wrote for a daily newspaper (Indianapolis Star)
I edited a weekly newspaper (Cincinnati Call & Post)
I practiced First Amendment Law and almost never lost a First Amendment trial issue, probably 10-2 in favor.

Now I provide exclusive video coverage of police murder trials (Dan Talbot Revere Murder Trial)

...exclusive video of the hate crimes/Jason Vassell case in Amherest Mass where two white men attacked a black man:

....and a recent $1.7M Civil Rights trial in Boston, Hyman v. Hemlock Association.

And I have watched the NAACP miss the boat on prior occasion, when I was NAACP Legal Chair. They lied about me too, and I eventually prevailed against them and a nasty former cop whose word they took as Gospel when he said "King committed attempted extortion."

The cop and his prosecutor got drummed out of town, Martin Dunn and Bill Albrecht.

And I knew from my research that former NAACP Chief Bruce Gordon (who took a hasty powder) was a Veep at Verizon during the whole NSA debacle, and you know that's true, quite possible he knew of the Civil Rights violations and did nothing.

And in Franconia NH I sue the government and uncover truths about police shooting coverups that are the subject of a book and a pending movie, (Casey Sherman's Bad Blood: Freedom and Death in the White Mountains, here is Sherman's comment about me, i.e. "incredible work"):

......not once have I been proved materially wrong about ANYTHING.

I am noted as a top 50 Constitutional Law blogger by Masters in Criminal Justice.

I tell you all of this to say that in my life, I have seen Major Media commit more violations against the Fourth Estate than any blogger, I was also instrumental in getting the Boston Herald sued for Defamation:

So before you go painting bloggers in broadstroke, pay more attention to the major media for Pete's sake.

I did see this report tonight on Anderson Cooper 360. Anderson went too far and was unfair, representing blogs as unreliable and reckless, purely opinion- and personality-based, and as not seeking on evidence.

In this same report, Anderson stated that he himself leans neither left nor right, but instead simply seeks the truth.

So in pursuit of that truth, perhaps Anderson should allot some time soon for responsible bloggers to respond to his reckless allegations of reckless blogging.

I've not received any feedback from AC360 or CNN.

I'll not hold my breath.
