Mass_DOC_leaked_CORI_info Oh, yah, I noted in this post that the New York Times was reading up on the 29 April 2009 email between Joanna Marinova and Deval Patrick cabinet member Mary Beth Heffernan. Read this post for the entire background on the failed attempts at prison reform in Mass. It's an important email because that email, acknowledging the fact that Marinova was going to be doing extensive work on prison reform, immediately preceded the Darrell Jones CORI information leak that was stretched into a kind of sexual hijinx by the Herald & Channel 7.
Now I've heard State Rep. Gloria Fox was out at a recent meeting and acting all gun-shy about the situation, but let me tell you Ms. Fox, there is a New Day coming in Boston politics. You don't have to kowtow to anybody about your actions or the actions of Ms. Marinova because you did NOTHING WRONG, and I know you will say that if you are deposed.
Meanwhile, let me tell the New York Times that the unanswered Public Information request in this case is crucial because I know for fact that the DOC has leaked other CORI information to people at City Hall. That's why they won't respond to me (they get 10 days allotted by MGL 66 § 10 and it's been over a month now and I've contacted Martha Coakley's Office about it too) but there's going to be some Michael Moore-style sit-in videos this week, with subsequent litigation coming if they don't issue a response. Maybe the DOC convinces the Herald and Channel 7 insurance carriers to settle out before the Subpoenas and the Depositions Depositions start flying; can't let the World know who's leaking information now can they?
They wonder why people can't trust the government when all we do is ask a simple question and get ignored by the people who are allegedly in charge of maintaining Law and Order.
Nice. Well I think it's nice, I don't know what Herald Attorneys Brown, Rudnick et al. think about it, you'll have to ask them, and indeed that will be the first call I make once the suit is filed, to ask them for comment. They've had plenty of time to think about it as they've been following my blogs and this specific situation for more than a month now, read the comments :)

Don't look now.... oh, strike that.
Brown Rudnick is looking, you better believe it.
Oh, they represent the Herald.
No worries, heck I'll tell them right now:
Look guys, unlike your client, we operate in the Open as there is nothing to hide about the facts that we have.
Best regards,
-The Editor.

Okay so next, I go and mail another one to them, a copy of this blog entry, Certified U.S. Mail, then I wait for that receipt to come back.
I wait ten (10) more days, then make a couple of phone calls, etc. then if I still get the brush off, I draft the lawsuit.
It will be interesting to see how the Court handles it, especially once I start showing the proof that I know the responsive documents do indeed exist.
Meanwhile Ms. Marinova's lawsuit should be filed later this week.
It's All Good.
-The KingCaster.
I sent the email and telephoned and Greg Massing is the Attorney who is supposed to respond to me.
