KingCast, the Boston Phoenix & TOUCH 106.1 FM present: The Definitive post on DA Dan Conley; he's inept, arrogant, racist and rude.

Good Day folks.... you better get the Blackstonian/KingCast update here after you watch the Dan Conley summary movie above, Peace. In February, 2009 Dan Conley refused to speak to a former State AAG and newspaper editor who blogged 35 videos of a contentious murder trial in the death of Revere Officer Daniel Talbot. In this YouTube video he put his finger in this black man's face and asked him for "credentials" even though he was aware that Judge Patrick Brady had given the man such credentials to roll video, take audio and still pictures and to provide commentary.

Conley, like a complete racist, First-Amendment-bashing jackass, turned to Seth Daniel immediately after disrespecting me and asked him if he had any questions, but the funny thing is, Seth and the Revere Journal have even used my courtroom photographs.

Mr. Bernstein shed some light on why DA Conley gets so pissy when you challenge him, particularly when he knows you've been a successful trial lawyer. Here's a 2005 Story by Bernstein "The Worst Homicide Squad in the Country."
Boston also has an unusually high number of convictions reversed on appeal or vacated as wrongful San Francisco, for instance, has released two people wrongfully convicted of murder in the past 15 years; Boston released that many last year alone.

Simply put, the BPD's homicide unit has the worst track record of any big-city police department in the country.

What's more, certain murders are even less likely to be solved. When the victim is a black man aged 17 to 35 as is the case in nearly half of all Boston homicides the arrest rate over the past six years is just 31 percent. (The map on this page shows how this has played out since the start of 2004, in the roughly six-square-mile patch of Dorchester, Mattapan, and Roxbury where almost half of the city's killings take place and where hardly any get solved.)

And the bit with the fingerprint lab is mind-numbing, read the comments for that piece.

Ready for more yet?
In homicides committed from 2000 to 2002, for instance, the BPD homicide unit made arrests in every case with a female victim, every case with a victim younger than 17, and in all but one case with a white, non-Hispanic victim.

This huge disparity in homicide-solution rates based on the race, gender, or age of the victim simply does not exist in most other cities..... (more in the comments)

Not that Dan Conley really cares because he thinks he can ignore a black man at will. Dan Conley is indeed a fascist, racist pig who - as I've stated - hates the First Amendment. That's why the Phoenix gave him the Muzzle Award in 2003 for supporting the prosecution of a black man who was passing anti-war information in honor of Dr. Martin Luther Coon (errr.. sorry, that's Conley-speak, I mean King, like my last name).
As Naro has observed, it seems clear that police, responding to a call about the confrontation, saw a white, uniformed National Guardsman and a black, dashiki-clad man yelling at each other and did what came naturally: they arrested the black man, got physical with him, and then claimed he had assaulted them. Conley, as prosecutors are wont to do, declined to question the veracity of the police account.

"Free speech," Van Der Meer told Lombardi, "is not a criminal act." Unfortunately, on one day in April 2003, it was.

Thanks to the Universal Hub for maintaining this link about Suffolk County DA Dan Conley.

KingCast:
Just the facts, shown in video. I look forward to round two.

I told Conley,

"You stick your finger in my face and you will pay for it one way or another."

Payback time is commencing in earnest.

The report reveals that for years, the BPD transferred to the fingerprint unit its "less than desirable employees," people with no relevant educational background, knowledge, skill, or abilities. It provided them with no written guidelines, no technical training, no written policies or procedures, no quality-assurance or quality-control program, no internal or external proficiency testing, no participation in forensics organizations, no continuing-education plans, and no professional certification. This situation, the report says, developed "over the last twenty or thirty years ... as a result of non-attention or non-concern from the upper management staff."

But most telling is that after the BPD received this report, the department’s response was to keep operating the unit. Only after another assessment of the unit’s incompetence became public four months later did BPD commissioner Kathleen O’Toole finally shut the unit down.

Even then, the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office continued, and continues, to march members of the defunct fingerprint unit up to Superior Court and present them, with a straight face, as expert witnesses. In an upcoming federal trial, one of the scheduled expert witnesses is a BPD print analyst described in the Mississippi company’s later report, from October 2004, as having "a significant lack of technical knowledge," and whose "ability to properly evaluate latent prints ... fell far short of what would be expected."

RUSH TO JUDGMENT

Given all this, the BPD’s inability to solve murders is not so surprising. In fact, what’s surprising — stunning, even — is the department’s success in solving certain kinds of homicides.

In homicides committed from 2000 to 2002, for instance, the BPD homicide unit made arrests in every case with a female victim, every case with a victim younger than 17, and in all but one case with a white, non-Hispanic victim.

This huge disparity in homicide-solution rates based on the race, gender, or age of the victim simply does not exist in most other cities. In fact, a major University of Maryland study of 1999 homicide-clearance rates found that "the sex and race of the victim did not have a significant effect on closing the case" in the cities they examined, which did not include Boston. A more recent study, by Ohio State University researcher Richard Lundman, found the same thing. Another study, soon to be published by Kenneth Litwin of the University of Michigan, finds that the race of the victim has a slight but growing effect on whether police make an arrest — but nothing close to the difference seen in Boston.

"I don’t know how to make sense of [the Boston data], except that it looks very, very strange," Lundman says.

Not to mention the fact that he's on Constructive knowledge that I filed a copy of the Motion linked herein because I hand-delivered a copy of it to Attorney Zabin.

Heinous activity from somebody who works for me.

Dear Susan,

You are more than welcome. I am just as exhausted and spent as I was from handling trials on the other side of the jury box, but that's okay.

The issues had to come out, and I've been waiting to do this ever since I heard about the case 2 years ago.

Peace to you and your family.

Peace to the Talbot family.

I look forward to covering the Appellate process, feel free to email me at kingjurisdoctor@gmail.com

PS: Dear Attorney Conley, those credentials are coming later this week or top of next, I'm reaching for the plastic and the order form right now for New England Newspaper & Press Association, once they reviewed the facts they were more than happy to welcome me in.

I sincerely hope we can keep our future conversations professional, I'll do my part if you do yours.

DA Conley's Office just checked in this morning:

Query, WTF do they want, Conley won't talk to me but he'll talk to reporters and newspapers who use my images, and he read my blog but tell me to go to hell to my face.

What a tool.

Speaking of tools wait until I post a pic of Press Secretary Jake Wark I'm waiting on, as he laughed at Conley disrespecting me as I shot the Dan Talbot Murder Trial video #35.

Also by the time Dan Conley pulled his little gangster move he was well aware of who I am, and that Masters in Criminal Justice had top-ranked my personal blog with the ACLU.

30 Return Visits here:

They were aware that I had praised the DA's on another murder case, and they were aware of KingCast.net, my main website portal, so Conley was just being a hater, pure and simple and I caught him on camera, as did an observer I spoke with yesterday who is trying to load the video and a picture of press secretary Jake Wark giggling like a little girl on to a CD to present to me.
