KingCast This American Life epiphany #5: RSA 91-A request for Bruce McKay's 5/11 dash cam video prior to 6pm.

Dear Attorneys Ayotte and Modigliani, but mostly Ayotte because she is the highest legal officer of the State:

It just occurred to me that I haven't seen the Bruce McKay dash cam video from earlier that day. It's really funny how every other time I've seen Bruce in action his front seat microphone is on, but as he went after Liko and Caleb -- again violating at least 8 Pursuit and OC Spray policies -- he shut it off and was otherwise incommunicado. Can you please provide that to me?

Thank you,

Christopher King, J.D.

Good thought Chris ! I would be curious to see if it shows McKay/Floyd together prior to the tragic event of 5/11.

At the very least Floyds truck in the Franconia area.

I think it is safe to assume the video/audio in the SUV was functioning prior to and after the event of 5/11.

I do not recall seeing any records to the contrary showing that this vehicle was in to be checked out/ repairs.

This leads me to believe either McKay muted the sound and/or it may have been tampered with. I could be mistaken but I do not recall reading anything about the AG's office being concerened about the audio not recording properly.

If it were tampered with then whom would/might benefit from that action.

My guess would be the AG's office and perhaps the town of Franconia as it is clear they knew of McKay's antics and turned a blind eye.

Most of the LEO's have a cell phone assigned to the officer/cruiser. Have you been able to obtain copies of these records ? Is the public entitled to this information ?

Also, have we figured out yet why McKay was working an unscheduled shift on his day off. Was he called in by the FPD or did he offer to work for someone ?

I do know he was not in a very pleasant mood the morning of 5/11.

My opinion is that Liko became McKays "whipping post". McKay had a bad day so Liko was going to have a bad day too.

How very sad and unacceptable that McKay was so intent on intimidating Liko and deliberately making his life miserable.

If McKay utilized all that focus and energy into reaching out to these young people he could have made a world of difference within the community.

"Most of the LEO's have a cell phone assigned to the officer/cruiser."

Really?

"I do know he was not in a very pleasant mood the morning of 5/11."

Please tell us how you know.

"McKay had a bad day so Liko was going to have a bad day too."

Did Liko always base his mood on others?

"McKay was so intent on intimidating Liko and deliberately making his life miserable."

Are you a mind reader, too?
