KingCast laughs his head off as Porter, Wright, Morris & Arthur ask "Is Kelly Ayotte a fascist?"

Porter Wright is a mucho blue-blood law firm. When I was an AAG in Ohio I worked a couple of cases with them, particularly with Chris Russell as noted in this 1994 Appellate Decision we won. I had a very interesting 1997 case with John Stephen (a pretty chill pup, 10 years ago he really looked like Darrin from Bewitched) when he defended Airtouch/Cellular One after they made my client -- a decorated Desert Storm veteran named Gregory S. Boatwright -- get back on the phone with a customer who said: "I didn't call in here to argue with a fucking nigger, so turn my service back on now!"

They fired Gregory when he went to management and called him a dangerous black man. Why does that sound familiar....For details you'll want to check this post with the pretty ladies. Yah, we bought some new cars when we were done that that one.

Anyway, yah, Kelly Ayotte is indeed a fascist pig. Check out the Court Decision from Judge Vaughn where the Court ruled she acted ILLEGALLY toward KingCast on a crucial Right-to-Know/FOIA issue.

Anyway, at Porter, Wright John Stephen is cool, and Bradd Siegel is, well.... considerably less than that. If my parents named me Bradd I might go through life like a tool, too. Guess who's who? And then guess who Luis Alcalde (a/k/a "the Mayor") is? He was the dirtiest lawyer I ever dealt with in Columbus and he actually accosted me in a back office after a Depo. and shoved me in the chest (still pretty firm at 42, and stronger back then, yah), hoping I would take a swing and get disbarred. Instead I filed a complaint with the Bar Association, which did nothing except wait in the cutty for their chance to get me. I didn't swing because instead I had a laptop computer 10 years ago, so my weapon was just waiting for this very day. Always knew the Internet would sort things out.

And thennnnn....... Keith Golden, who told my client "I'll have your black ass arrested," even though he was wrong about the debt in the first place. Again, the Ohio Bar did nothing about my complaint so we had to sue him, and recovered. Guess who?

Fortunately, John Stephen and others like him are proof positive that you don't have to be a jerk to be a defense lawyer.

You know what?

Anybody who has any questions about my professionalism or integrity can feel free to call John Stephen and ask him.

I have not spoken with him in a decade but I can outright assure you he will have not one bad thing to say about me, and the feeling is mutual.

You look at the relief in his face and his smile and you can see that he's actually a human being with warmth and compassion.

Can't say the same for some of his associates and partners, notably Bradd Seigel, but that's okay.

Bradd threatend to "cut my heart out and feed it to me."

Don't think I don't have it on tape. Ohio is a one-party State, after all.

It's amazing to think about.

You put these blue blood lawyers and AG's and Governors and DA's (Ayotte, Spitzer, Nifong) up on a pedestal and yet they violate the law hard core.

Then some of them accuse me of violating the law, when in fact they have not one scintilla of evidence that I ever did any such thing.

Life is rich.

So are they.

At least materially.

Peter Tosh will sing it to you that "Fools die for want of wisdom."

The rich man's wealth is in the city. The poor man's wealth is in a holy place.

The lips of the righteous teaches many
But fools die for want of wisdom
The rich man's wealth is in the city

Vexation of the soul is vanity
Destruction of the poor is their poverty
The poor man's wealth is in a holy, holy place

Why do you fight eachother
Why do you kill your brother
Then your reward will be the cemetery

We got to build a better nation
Clean up, clean up Jah creation
Or there will be no future for you, you and me

And the Alcalde situation was insane. At the time Tara was a friend of mine and the Crabbe, Brown receptionist. Keep in mind they hated me because they represented the Columbus School Board as Nationwide attorneys.

Nationwide is a sleazy insurance company.

Alcalde stands about 5'4" to my 5'10" and when he shoved me, I was kinda buff, always playing tennis and working out, and not far past my physical prime at 32. He just stood there taunting me but I didn't take the bait.

Anyway, the lawyers there were all upset because we were video taping Columbus School Board meetings like the one seen at KingCast short film, "Advocacy in Action: Then and Now."

They couldn't do anything about it, but now all of the City Hall and School Board meetings have gone offline, no TV.

No accountability.

And the evil gavel-banging Despot in the video?

None other than Mary Jo Kilroy, a former friend of mine and friend of a girlfriend of mine. Kilroy sold out, my girlfriend didn't.

Your professionalism is without equal. It just sounds like a miserable existence, with all the chest thumping, name calling, and the obsessive need to get the last word in. To what end? To buy some new used cars? Or is it justice? Sweet, balancing Justice, that which can not be measure in dollars, that which does no name calling, nor does it speak of itself in grand terms. It just is, in a Taoist sort of way.

My feeling(perhaps wrong) is that there is a quiet dignity to Justice. I am not sensing that here, O Great One. Something profound, like a run down trail of virgin powder or tacking into a smooth channel. More butter, less vinegar, know what I'm sayin' Clean?

Feelin' Groovy.

if i may intrude on your heavenly image of sweet, sweet justice...
along comes the reality of life. perhaps you have comfortable provisions, but riding along the lonely road in pursuit of justice is king's need (and desire?) for the basics.
want to lend a hand? how can you help?

Christopher King said...

Thanks for your concern, but I'm not getting the last word in, I'm just exposing it in the first place. And any litigator has to have an inclination to get the last word in, otherwise you get your ass handed to you.

And you can't say that about John Stephen; I give the man credit where credit is owed.

As for Sweet Justice, here's what Lawrence Mother Izzy Figueroa

....just wrote me as will be featured in the next post, so reasonable minds can agree to disagree.

"First and foremost I want to say THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH! You are an angel. I feel it is very important for everyone to know what an impact you have made in our community by empowering parents such as myself to speak up.

We went to the meeting tonight. I have to say a whole different atmosphere and attitude. I even got a hypocritical apology from Superintendent Laboy but an apology nonetheless I feel my daughter needed to hear.

Everyone spoke up about the issue and many school committee members support my daughter. I did get a bit emotional reading my daughters letter to the committee but glad I did it none the less as it was in her own words and very well put. I am so proud of her.

Principal Fiato was the only person I did not have the opportunity to speak to and he is whom I want to address the whole issue of the mural and would like to know where we are at as every time I ask, I get no answer and Tran and our children deserve that at the least.

Anyway, very overwhelming day but you made me feel so much more at ease with all of your support. Thank you for calling me and wishing me well I think that empowered me to get right to the point of the matter.

Good night! Many Blessings!"

It's all good in the hoooooood.......

Watch for the new post in about 10 minutes, then I have some other work to do most of the day that will take me away from the blawg but I'll be checking in, you bet.

And there will be an inline skate session to the courthouse to file an Affidavit from Brian Jesseman this morning too, I love rockin' the skates to court =^.)

good day for a skate attack...sorry not to have a pix of it for posterity.
keep juggling all those irons in the fire.

You know I've always got pics. Here's one with President Kennedy and me on the skates, at the bottom of this post.

And here is the new post about making a difference.

and here's one more for ya', chris

[The following poem is engraved on the wall of Mother Teresa’s home for children in Calcutta.]

People are often unreasonable, illogical, and self-centered;
Forgive them anyway.

If you are kind,
people may accuse you of selfish ulterior motives;
Be kind anyway.

If you are successful,
you will win some false friends and some true enemies;
Succeed anyway.

If you are honest and frank,
people may cheat you;
Be honest and frank anyway.

What you spend years building,
someone could destroy overnight.
Build anyway.

If you find serenity and happiness,
they may be jealous;
Be happy anyway.

The good you do today,
people will often forget tomorrow;
Do good anyway.

Give the world the best you have,
and it may never be enough;
Give the best you’ve got anyway.

You see, in the final analysis
it is between you and God;
it was never between you and them anyway.

That was beautiful.

As Mother Ann would say, "Keep on keepin' on, Son."

In speaking with her great-nephew (my father) this morning I felt her spirit riding with us, as noted in the new post.

A niec thought. But, au contraire, mon ami. Mother Theresa was not a blogger! Its between CK and the Free World, don't you get it? Your admiration for Chris is well found, believe me, but you are not doing him any favors by giving him a free pass. You may not have been here back in the day, but the recordings in the blog always opened with Chris Stating "Citizens of the so-called free world". The Levitz moving days, the rallies at Yale, the days at Route 22 and the Tea House, chillin' wiuth Moby, these are all part of the story. The story about Chris and his dance with the free world. Its about Chris conquering Marty Dunn, pig roasting Gloria Timmons, getting felated by the caucasian manager at American Tower, doing hundreds of mortgages, recording shady landlords, bringin' down the house in Columbus school board meetings, joining the band in Pittsburgh, cussing like a sailor then playing the Zen master, waiting tables and serving VOS water, taking on the pinkos at the Daily Kos, then taking them on again (that was great CK!) writing for a free paper in Indy, dropping the clutch on his SAAB racing the the courthouse, taking consolation with the Muse, and, most importantly, sharing it all with us.

But thanks, this is great material for "The Lesser and Greater Angels". The existential component of the NH experience and the conflict it can set up between the sacred and the secular in the main protagonist give rise to some strong prose. Jimmy O'Brien needs to seize on this.

The mere existence of this self-promoting blog (there is no question, its about Chris) demonstrates there is no humility here akin to Mother Theresa's. It is dispositive on the question. But the posting of the sentiment is great, it is evidence of the CK cult of personality and the state of public education in NH.

Chris, keep on keepin' on, and good luck! You are a star. this gets big enough, its gonna be awesome!

it's all been said and read before. your summary doesn't change the landscape by a blade of grass. would you have the same passion as chris, and then join him instead of whining and bitching, he might be that much further ahead.
your contribution? zero.

The Levitz moving days were great, I'm really bummed that Blogger got rid of the phone-blog.

A couple of things:

1. Writing for a free paper in Indy. False. The Indianapolis Star is not a free paper. It is the State's largest daily newspaper.

2. Every blog is about Ego. At least I use mine to promote social change and Justice =^.)

3. I'm more concerned about Mother Ann than Mother Teresa.

Returning to the topic of the post, Kelly is still a fascist.

And the beauty of this blog is that even a stupid, blundering schmoe like me can beat her.

Ask Judge Vaughn.

Now if that's not a reason to have her disbarred I don't know what is :)

Sweeeeet. Atta boy. Relentless. Reminds me of Josey Wales. The Senator says "I want you to hound this Wales, straight to the gates of hell." And then the guy who later did A1 Steak Sauce commercials says "he'll be waiting there for you".

Christopher King said...

Yah, I know that's a great part. And dig this one, with one of my Cherokee ancestors

...white man been sneaking up on me for years... I had a fine woman....and two sons, but they died on the Trail of Tears.... and now the white man... is sneaking up on me again....

Also note within this and the next post in which the mother called me "An Angel" the presence of God and Devil Terms, one of the oldest rhetorical devices in the World.

Of course as you may recall I was a rhetoric minor.

And the best part is that I didn't write any of it, I'm just reporting it.

In fact, that will be tonight's blawg entry.

Thanks again, as always :)

Sorry CK - he started it. I will back off, I just dislike being dismissed. I guess everyone does though. Big picture.

Gotta run, voices in my head . . .
